Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Reads like an AI response.
Stewing on this, so I thought two can play this game.

Dear Qantas Customer Care,

While I acknowledge receipt of this automated response, I find the reliance on generic, templated communication insulting given the circumstances of my complaint.

The delay in receiving a substantive response from a human representative is unacceptable. I expect this case to be prioritized, and I look forward to hearing from a consultant who can address my specific concerns rather than receiving further automated platitudes.

Definitely!

Then watch two IA bots go at it. A bit like tic-tac-toe in the film War Games.

As a side note to no meals, I just looked at the wine served.
An $85/bottle small batch stunner.
How does QF justify skimping on a $10 dinner but free flow expensive wines?

The work experience kid must have got some mates in to other roles.

Well, let me lower your expectations even further.

Roast lamb sounded great but was actually terrible. Very tough piece of meat and way overcooked. Not helped by the fact that the crew decided to chat for an hour before starting the service.

Salmon and potato salad tasted like cardboard.

Other than the slow start, service was friendly and fine. But a very disappointing meal and feedback provided.

Reporting in with my experience on QF164 WLG-SYD yesterday.

Menu was the same as you posted. Given your review of the lamb I avoided it so that meant the penne pasta option with pumpkin. It was pretty meh - not unpleasant but very, very bland. Lots of salt and plenty of riesling helped.

I had a very friendly seatmate with whom I ended up chatting and boozing most of the flight, so I warned him that I'd heard bad things about the lamb. He ordered it anyway and said it was tough but otherwise not too bad.

Wines on offer were an Adelaide Hills chardy, a Clare or Eden valley riesling, and a shiraz. Honestly can't remember any brands. Riesling was decent then I reverted to champagne - good to see they were serving Duval Leroy which I find preferable to Jacquart. Decent dessert wine on board too (again, didn't see details.)

Crew member serving J was very earnest and friendly, happily providing a great many top-ups to both seatmate and me. As usual, I was mystified by the very long wait between finishing main meal and serving the ice cream - not that I mind, necessarily.

SYD-AKL last week. No menu provided but chicken was what was left for row 3. Sauce was salty. Ice cream prior descent.
