Qantas Business Class meals & menus

I know, but hey, it was a continuation, in a way, of the AKL > SYD on QF4, so might as well.
Otherwise, what to do with the points, (toaster)?
Plenty of other things! (contrary to what some might have you believe).

Date: April 2026
Flight: QF4 AKL-SYD
Service: Breakfast
Meal: Went for the pancakes to mix things up! (For those that are eagle eyed wondering where the bakery is… I had already attacked it).

Crew offered the entire cabin cold press juice options after take off, before the service carts came out. Sparkling wine was also available and enjoyed a glass post service.

Date: April 2026
Flight: QF645 SYD-PER
Service: Lunch
Meal: I was in the rear mini 332 J cabin… all passengers were offered one option so not sure if others options existed… this was a chicken in mushroom sauce casserole with polenta mash and broccoli.
Much later in the flight the Maggie Beer Chocolate & Salted Caramel ice cream made an appearance.

Date: April 2026
Flight: QF882 PER-ADL
Service: Breakfast
Meal: I was pleasantly surprised by this option… corn fritters with sausage, spinach and fried egg. Actually a very enjoyable inflight meal.
Later in the flight we were offered the gluten free cinnamon biscuits.

Flight: QF686 ADL-MEL
Service: Refreshment
Meal: For this flight there was a choice between hot panini or cheese plate… cheese plate won it for me on this occasion. The white wine is the Xanadu Chardonnay doing the rounds currently.

QF610 MEL-BNE 18-APR-26

Service: Breakfast/Refreshment

A strange service.

After 4 seats (full 12 seat cabin) choice of none: it was chorizo or nothing. The alternative (scones) had gone with 3 of the 4 seats ahead. I had the default, my wife - who doesn't eat any sort of sausage (enough of the giggling!) was offered a drink. She settled for the muesli bar off my plate, not even offered snacks ...

The dish itself was OK. The chorizo was tasty without being over spicy (which I'd prefer), the bean mix helped down the gluggy patties however the asparagus was the highlight: still crisp and fresh - this from someone who isn't a fan!

But overall a pretty disappointing offering.

QF1263 BNE-MEL 19-Apr-26

A total - and refreshing - contrast to QF610 outbound.

The CSM discreetly asked each J status passenger their meal preference prior to starting service. Chose and had delivered the miso salmon with Japanese noodle salad, the other option being a creamy chicken dish. Also requested a G&T rather than wine and asked that she complete service before bringing it, which she was more than happy to do. 1 and 2 slices of sourdough offered, desserts were mixed with chocolate brownie or a citrus cake, we swapped between the two of us.

Great to see a CSM loving their job (which she happily admitted to) - Compliments and Feedback provided to Qantas.

Regards,

BD

QF155 MEL-AKL 13:30 departure on VH-XZB.

Nz Based crew very good and have a very positive vibe about them. All the food was very tasty and the brisket was still tender and not overly fatty. Nice to have the menus back on the TT flights but food quality not what it was pre covid as discussed at length here. View attachment 502195View attachment 502196
Thanks. Doing this flight in September @vhojm
Tray looks a bit crowded especially with the cheese and lavosh

QF59 SYD-HND Saturday April 19th…..I had the Fillet with polenta which was very tender but a bit overdone for my liking nevertheless thoroughly enjoyable and desert was a wonderful ice cream sandwich washed down with a double Bailey’s….impeccable service and well done Qantas

Did QF42 get enhanced or was I unlucky to receive the meals for QF40 on my flight?

Really poor for a 6.5 hr flight, especially with non-existent breakfast also (only fruit plate or a tiny muffin as described above).

Thanks for that @frodo
Doing Qf39/40 in June
Poor offering for 6.5 hour flight, best to snack in the Lounge first methinks.

What’s with all the pearl cous cous and, worse, pumkin, in above means? Thankfully, I’m heading to Europe on Cathay soon so I might be spared such an abomination….
