Qantas Business Class meals & menus

I believe it was a crew member. IMO too late to elicit bioharzard stuff. They put powder on the floor. Crew had a shocking night, poor buggers, also had to remove a drunk passenger before take off, which incidentally was good for the first officer who took their place behind me for a kip

In terms of biohazard… I was meaning that once it’s out on the floor it has the potential to spread, so they can’t then serve more food.

Onboard QF177 MEL-ZQN 7.40am
I went with the egg white omelette with ricotta in the middle and wife went with the Turkish bread sandwich she said it was good.
Omelette was ok but would have preferred the entire egg with yolk.
Great service from Belinda.
Having a few G&Ts and the pour of gin is very generous hic, spurtle.
Very special trip this one. Our daughter is getting married in Wanaka on Wednesday.

Happy to be able to line up the 789 flight for the last work trip to SYD for the year. Excellent service from CSM Adam (who made me feel like a P1 with his welcome and attentive service) and FA Margie.

Prompt PDB of Duval-Leroy, having already obtained the Piper in the int lounge, stopped at one of these.

Had the lamb shoulder for lunch. Kudos to QF, one of the most tender and flavorsome lamb dishes I have had recently, including on the ground. Even the slightly incongruous Brit mushy peas on the side blended in well. The Bethany First Village 2022 Barossa shiraz was the vinous accompaniment ($35 from QF Wine. and gets the GT leaf), not in the same league as the Wynns Messenger I had on the last flight, but a good solid example of my favourite wine style, though would have been better with some decanter time. Warranted a top up.

The trusty international cheese platter wrapped things up.

Seeing that "espresso coffee"was available on this flight, sampled a shot of the same. Tasted like pod coffee, but while certainly not great coffee (heh heh), was definitely drinkable coffee!

Another great flight, worth the hassle of international security/ busyness at SYD immigration to be on these 789s and their soft product which was once standard on all transcon flights.

QF 38 5 Nov 2025 but flight departed late due to late arrival of aircraft by nearly an hour but made up time so landed close to scheduled arrival time. Went straight to bed and had the prawn and dessert from supper menu for breakfast rather than the usual burnt brioche. It was delish. Appreciated the flex of cabin crew to accommodate this request.

You must be very special to get dine on demand. Don't tell anyone or they will all want it.

Flight back from Tokyo recently. Had tuna salad starter which was quite nice, and chicken for mains. Did the job. For once the desert was actually a little odd, tasted like those glazed cherries which I'm not a fan of.

Pancakes for breakfast which were a little dry but the fruit was not bad, energiser smoothie tasty as usual.

Fortunately the int flight lined up with work commitments again, very comfortable flight home. Very good service from CSM Orlando and FA Luisa.

PDB of my least favourite J Champagne Lombard offered immediately, but actually hit the spot more than normal. My jacket was attended to at the same time.

The menus du jour:

As has been the case for the last few flights home from SYD, the Tommy's margarita and the "premium salted nuts" were very satisfying for the first over.

IMG_1519.jpeg
After an inexplicably substandard oyster blade in the F lounge, feeling deprived of my bovine fix of the day, so was happy to see the fillet on the menu, even though I knew it would be too well done. As was the case last time though, tender and tasty enough in spite of looking "burnt to a crisp". Managed to get a small bowl of the leftover cauliflower soup served on the side.

The Lange TSR Shiraz accompanied, $25 online and tasted accordingly, passable but too tannic. Yet more inconsistency from QF again, on this same flight 3 weeks ago the excellent Wynns Messenger Cabernet costing 3 times as much was served.

The usual cheese platter to finish.
