Qantas Business Class meals & menus

The food was good, although having flown SQ I'd probably say this is what QF Business Class ought to be to compete with them. The Tuna starter was very good though.

This looks significantly better than what I remember of QF F in 2018-2019. Someone appears to have put some effort into plating, hats off to them.

Also great to see F pax no longer forced into Neil's vinaigrette for the rabbit food!

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Food and drink were decent but on reflection, it’s not something I’d likely pay for personally or use my points if I were on a personal trip.
Mine was a personal trip, and I think the better sleep is just barely worth the extra 55k points I paid. The food and drink is not important to me since I don't usually drink alcohol, and the Flounge food is good enough to last me the journey (except breakfast).

That’s a very reasonable reason to fly F. I had to take the 330 back as QF2 runs a bit early. I quite like the angle I can sleep on the J seats.

Was going to upload a pic for menu but realised they just told me the offering. Order was taken in order of status.

Options were pork, salad or schnitzel sandwich from best recollection.

Also crew were great looking after us with an engineering issue on the ground…plenty of drinks including one to enjoy later :p

I always forget how long it takes to get to SIN from the eastern states! If we get an inexperienced crew to/from Perth (not as rare as you might think) we can sometimes be lucky to get through the full meal service... It's certainly happened a few times where they didn't get around to the "Prior to Arrival" snacks.

The one time I have flown on QF SIN - PER since 2005 was as you said - no "Prior to Arrival" snack being served. They didn't even get to dim the cabin lights for landing. Of course this may have been helped by the only two flight deck announcements for the trip being "Cabin crew take your seats for take off" and "Cabin crew take your seats for landing".

Latest QF2 J menu. The LHR > SIN physical menu seemed like a last-minute Officeworks panic print job.

Very happy with both the ragu and pork option. I thought sitting on the front, upper cabin would mean faster service, but it was rather slow which meant less sleep. But overall, fantastic flight and catering.

QF153 in J (MEL - AKL) - the beef curry was inedible - an absolutely vile meal. So bad I couldn't even take a picture. JetConnect crew were also very meh with no polish.

Heard recently QF may be looking to refresh its inflight dining offering in 2023 as part of brand overhaul which will provide QFi pax (expanding to QFd in 6 months) with a "innovative, enhanced and uniquely Australian" inflight dining experience. Apparently all plant and animal (farmed I assume?) based food options will be exclusively utilise bush tucker staples, with menus curated by a high profile indigenous chef. Not a fan of kangaroo or goanna but dont mind emu - tastes like chicken. If true, think this will be a hit with inbound pax from EU, Asia and N America looking for an immersive start to their Australian holiday, and should hopefully resolve QF's current issues with quality of inflight catering. 👍

Anything will be an improvement! On QF779 today MEL-PER I was served the usual chicken in some sort of sauce with rice and some green beans. I would LOVE to be able to pre-order. Other meals can be gluten free too.

Fortunately there was the delicious Heirloom Chardonnay again to compensate.

Kangaroo? Please no. No, no, no. 🤢

I will (unfortunately) never forget that time we had friends from Europe staying over whom insisted slapping roo steaks onto our BBQ. The whole barbie stank like rotten game after this disaster so we ended up throwing the entire thing out.

I cant see it happening myself due to cost and logistics but if QF is at least looking at refreshing its inflight dining offering then thats a good thing... just wonder what other things they would need to "enhance" to pay for it...
