Pastie/pasty, pronounced as parstie when I lived in Adelaide many moons ago. We loved to call into the Balfours shop in the CBD (in King William Steet, an Adelaide institution) for our fresh hot “parsties”. Yum.

SYD-BNE tonight, lamb pie, deconstructed, essentially a nice stew with peas with a flaky pastry hat; alongside mash that had the fine consistency of Deb, but obviously much tastier. I thoroughly enjoyed it, sorry for the blue light, I should have turned on my overhead light . The alternative was a salad, apparently not many loaded, as there was only one left up to 2D. Crew was excellent, we had about 10 minutes of turbulence that upset service, but the cabin manager smashed it out after resumption of service and even offered a refill without asking.
Agree, it definitely hit the spot, very tasty. Not sure what Y was munching on.That's essentially a Y meal. I've literally had that a few years ago on a domestic flight in Y, served in a box. While visually unappealing, it was very tasty.

The final insult was round the start of descent , I thought I could do with a glass of Bubbly and asked this of a female FA who was helping cleaning up the cabin – sorry, it’s too late , we’ll be landing soon! That’s fair enough. Then one of the guys went to the galley , spoke to someone, and out comes the Purser with 2 plastic glasses of what I assume was the Grant Burge for them.
