Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

Is the 30K points supposed to count towards Points Club?

It appears to have done so for me. I didn't expect this (quite nice as I was going to come up a little short next year).
The apology 30,000? Posted as flight points, so subject to the cap there, would have posted.

Yes, those ones.

For me they posted as ground points (I'd already reached my flight cap).

I've only just got them, and it was a saga to get them (I received the email saying I'd be getting them but never posted - took several phone calls over a few months to get it fixed).

I was curious if they counted for others or if mine was a mistake.

Auto credit have posted in the flight category.

I’ve seen reports that those who have required a manual credit for whatever reason have enjoyed the benefit of them crediting as an on-ground spend.

Thanks!

Small compensation for messing it up I guess.

Lucky - I nearly took out a terrible QF health insurance policy to get the bonus points!

Yeah, I experienced the same. Mine required manual crediting and they ended up counting towards Points Club, which was not the case for those who had it credited automatically.

Having skimmed this thread - am I correct to assume I'm not the only WP who hasn't seen any apology points hit their balance yet?

I don't know, mostly because I am too old to process double negation in one sentence.

I got my sorry point as a wp if that helps.

No. Looks like a few of us missed out, you have to manually chase it.

Well, I mean you are correct...

The $50 vouchers expire in a few days. Knowing QF I'm expecting a sale/ double sc or some other promotion to drop immediately after the vouhers expire so I am holding off on making a booking with the $50 voucher. Obviously no one really knows the answer but does anyone else think its a good idea to wait or should I just make my bookings with the $50 voucher. Its a SYD <> MEL booking and SYD <> LHR booking I'm sitting on.

There was a sale early last week (ended 21st). I looked but the dates were limited and I had already booked around the times on SQ two months ago.

Good to see correct rollover landed today despite bugs in the Qantas system meaning I never got an email saying I would get a rollover, and also me getting the wrong gift when they announced it.
How long after membership year reset did these appear? I’m hoping my rollover will help me reach WP for the first time this year.

I received 30000 pts on 21/9. Better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick....
Or being told your elite status is worthless for lounge access as is the case for DL Medallion members:

Points Club Plus Rollover: Instant
This year's special rollover: approx 24 hours
Still waiting for the points rollover to hit my account (presently showing just 100 points as I just redeemed last year's QF loyalty bonus and green tier bonus)

Let's flip this and see it as an enhancement............... If I were a Delta guy, I would walk
