Have an American Express credit card with CBA, NAB or Westpac? Chances are you'll start earning fewer points per dollar spent from July under a barrage of changes announced by the banks this week - so why not keep your points flowing in with a new Qantas American Express Ultimate Card?
This card offers a solid 1.5 Qantas Points per dollar spent on most purchases and 2.5 Qantas Points per dollar spent direct with Qantas, such as when paying for flights or Qantas Club membership.
Unlike some other AMEX cards, this one also delivers 1.5 Qantas Points per dollar spent with insurers and utilities (like telcos, electric companies, internet service providers and streaming services), with 1 Qantas Points earned per $2 spent on government payments such as to the ATO.
Best of all, all points are uncapped!
Now to the best part - the sign-on bonus! Apply via this link and you'll earn 65,000 bonus Qantas Points after spending at least $1,500 on the card within the first 3 months. Apply the 'normal' way and you'll earn a lower 55,000 Qantas Points instead.
(I receive 10,000 bonus Qantas Points for every successful applicant, while you also receive 10,000 more points by using these links - so much like an Uber referral, it's a win-win.)
The card comes with a $450 annual fee but also includes a free domestic return flight with Qantas every year, two free yearly visits to the AMEX Lounge at Sydney airport, domestic and international travel insurance: so if you like to travel and often find yourself away from home (and would have paid for a return flight at some point during the year), chances are you'll get far more value back from the card than you'll pay in annual fees.
A minimum income requirement of $65,000/year applies, but this is household income, not personal income - so if you live with a partner/wife/husband, you can enter your total combined income during the application process for consideration, and as long as you earn $65,000/year between you (even if that's $32,500 each), you'll meet the minimum easily.
So, what are you waiting for?
You can apply here today!
(When clicking the link, you'll first see the blue Qantas Discovery card, but you can access this great offer simply by clicking on the dark-coloured Qantas Ultimate card either at the top right or the bottom left of the screen.)
I hope you've found my summary useful, and hope you can keep your points flowing by applying for this card via my referral link. Am currently saving my points for a holiday with my partner, so any bonus points earned are most gratefully received.
