Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

I see OQA is being used as a charter flight and just arrived in GRU from SYD.
Is that having any impact on other flights and I presume this will be for a few days.
Obviously good money in it but fingers crossed that it doesn’t have an impact on other flights
Charter? That explains it; From the Qantas SYD First lounge yesterday, I saw Nancy Bird being loaded. Later on I saw it gone, but did not hear a boarding call.

Picking up Bad Bunny and his entourage from his gig in Sao Paulo and flying them to their Sydney concert on Saturday night

Flew empty to GRU. Landed a short while ago.

Rumoured to be bringing Bad Bunny to AU.

Why they would need an A380 beyond me.

If you had the money like they do. Why not.
Those guys do have a rather large entourage with all their crew that need to get there somehow.

The Qantas Delays/Cancellations thread has details of two consecutive much delayed QF7 (SYD-DFW) trips (including today's) with A380 VH-OQH.

IIRC @jb747 commented many moons ago that permitted maximum duty hours are normally '20' but can be stretched to '22' by agreement, so perhaps finding a new flight (and cabin) crew caused part of the delays.

QF7 has been a poor punctuality performer in the last couple of weeks. However it has a generous turnaround allowance in Texas, USA so QF8 tends to not be as delayed.

No, it’s extendable to 20, not 22. There are many conditions attached to duty hours, and you need a flow chart to work out what can be done.

Did QF create such a flow chart or did you have to work it out with pen and paper each time?

QF7 continues to run late most days.

Given the aircraft has typically been in Sydney for several hours, it's a mystery why timekeeping is so poor. Occasionally, SYD can be on single runway ops but for other days, is it that the A380 requires maintenance ("engineering"), waiting for connecting pax off late domestic flights or something else?

For whatever reason, Qantas seems to be appalling at towing aircraft from the maintenance hangers/remote stands to the gate in Sydney.

They have to slot it in between departures/arrivals due to the runway crossing required so sometimes the aircraft can sit waiting for a very long time before ATC approval is granted. Likewise domestic arrivals/departures also seem to take priority over those under tow with no passengers onboard.

That is all true, but more often than not, they only commence towing the A380s less than 2 hours before the flight is meant to leave wish just isn't enough time in Sydney,
