I think I shed my first tear at the start. What an absolute privilege it was to be onboard this flight.
About 200 crew applied to fly it and most of those onboard today are retiring now.
Bravo QF, what a farewell to the Queen of the Skies.
Will try to post a few more pics when my phone is charged up.

SYD Departure Board, QF747 from the QP, at the gate and the general goodie bag contents (misplaced the water bottle somewhere....)
Prior, fresh made coffee to order plus bacon & egg rolls with green stuff (I think some with cheese) and fruit bowls available from staff walking around with trays.
Boarding well organised with biz called to gate first then lower deck boarding by groups, starting from back rows.

Along with the the Fly Well Pack and goodie bag (biz scored a rather "noice" retro roo bag with latest first amenities pack) a commemorative certificate and large drink coaster are handed out.

Fortunately our lovely flight attendants knew the way to the "biz fizz" bottle department so several of us managed to score a celebratory glass 🥂

Looking out the window from 48D was a bit challenging however as a local I have flown over and sailed on Sydney Harbour many, many times so was not too miffed to miss out. I know there are some super spectacular photos out there (and look forward to seeing them) due to low-level flying and the pilots tilting the plane to port and starboard to allow a pretty good view for those in the centre seats.

In the meantime, a couple from the port exit window over Sydney Harbour ...

Aside from the neat bag, did J receive any additional goodies vs Y?
