Q Bag Tag Re-design?

After so many years SG, finally made WP, and got the new design. Looks stylish with the red roo on black, but i still firmly stand by my opinion that the weight, size, shape, are completely OTT. It is like strapping to your bags those flashing buzzers you get at food halls

If you dont like them i will happily take them off your hands or swap you for my unused old style WP tags.

Don’t like them, but still use them & black markered my details on the back. Soz.

Got them Fri 8th June, anniversary resets 30th june, qualified 5th May.

That's bit annoying and surprising, had various confirmed packs from Feb, March and May all receiving the "Qantas" design and not the "Roo" one... Also were both re-qualify and newly qualified, doesn't seem to be any consistent pattern here.

One year on, anyone has a better idea?

From asking around, there are still people receiving the 'Flying Roo' tags even this year, but for same tier others have received the 'Qantas' one. Is it really a random luck of draw thing?

I called a few weeks ago asking for some to be sent out as I hadn't received any since I qualified for WP three years ago and over that time they have gone missing or been mislaid. I was sent the ones with the just the roo on it and I prefer them to the old ones.

I qualified for the dizzy heights of silver and got my tags last week. Red roo on silver background.
Man these tags are huge. I prefer the VA metal ones.

Recent flights had me qualify for gold and then platinum on the one journey.

Had the gold pack arrive one day and the platinum pack arrive the next day in the mail.

Both sets of tags are the Roo style and look heaps better than my old written Qantas logo tags

I have not got any tags since the first ones that were sent when I got WP status over a decade ago.

Is this the usual practice - only get new tags when getting a new status level?

That is my experience. However, if you phone and ask for a new set, they will send them. No need to say why.
