Q Bag Tag Re-design?

Has anyone received new Q Bag Tags recently? I think the design has changed from the Kangaroo logo-only version, back to a version that spells out Qantas? Can anyone confirm? Thanks

I'm hoping for the Roo ones. My current WP ones just say Qantas.

I was also under the impression that the "Kangaroo logo" design is the new one. However, I received the "Qantas" one this week, which is why I asked cause I'm not sure if it's a mistake. However, from the info I've gathered so far, it seems that the Roo design was discontinued around Nov/Dec last year.

As iconic as the roo is, i still think Qantas should be on there perhpas in small font particularly when thinking about them as almost a type of advertising for Qantas. Not everyone will know what the roo represents.

Well i just arrived home to my new WP ones.
They are the same as last year. QF logo and QANTAS printed on them.
No Red Roo on a grey background as i was hoping for.

No, I have to call up every year to get it. They won't send it until after you receive the new card. If you call around the time a new card is being issued they may tell you you're getting some sent with your new card but that wasn't the case for me.

Actually no, this is consistent (wow!).

The basic idea with QF is once you attain a level you get the full kit, coasters etc... then when you requalify just the card. That's normal.

As others have noted a call to QF usually gets a new set of coasters sent out.

I called to enquire about the new bag tags yesterday and was told by the phone agent that the tags would be issued automatically with my requalifying card as part of "the full kit". I really wish QF would train their staff to provide the correct information.

Silver and Platinum - identical. I wondered if that was normal or I just received Silver many years ago by mistake. Not really concerned but maybe I will find out if they reissue them.

Check to see whether on the back of the tag at the bottom it has a ruby or emerald oval. That should answer your question

I have an original WP set and they did look very similar to the PS version in terms of the light grey background, but (apart from the OW Emerald logo on the back) there was a difference in the colour of the text on the front, IIRC. White in the case of WP, red (?) in the case of PS.

The way to be absolutely sure is to check the back for the OW Emerald oval.

MrP desperately in need of a new card as it no longer works to check in etc. But as it’s 2 weeks to renewal they won’t expedite. How long do new cards take to arrive these days? We leave 2 weeks after new cycle commences. Although in J so we may not need them.
