The biggest issue that I have is not kids travelling by themselves, but parents with infants who decide to use the tray table as a changing table .

This has happened to me on both QF and DJ flights. Both times they have been approached by the flight crew and both times they have ignored them and then proceeded to carry a dirty nappy to the toilets once they are finished.

Not very pleasant at all!!
That is unacceptable. The toilets may be squeezy, but are equipped with change table facilities.

Totally agree NM.

On both occasions those around the offending parents voiced their disapproval and certainly made them aware that it wasn't on.

On recent trip to London business class with my wife and children 6 & 8 we got horrified looks as we entered the business class seating. We asked for the second cabin of business class which wasn't full to keep away from those so important travellers with their dirty glares.. and we had heaps of fun with great cabin crew who entertained the family and gave us great service.
On a Ansett int'l flight to HK our daughter of 11mths cried for the first 2 hrs of the flight we were seated row 1 at the nose of the jumbo and an american gent offered help saying how he travels with children and knows the frustration and feeling of despair parents have trying to keep young children queit ( comfortable ) and behaved on long flights. Everyone else just gave us dirty looks. So we figure ppl understand and if they do not they have never had children.

I just cant believe that someone would do that. Not just becuase of the other passengers - but how can a seatback table be any more convenient than the change facilities in the loos....

Its quite quite disgusting :!:
