Hi all,
I am traveling in Y PER-SYD-SFO-SYD-PER on QF in January and have placed an upgrade request to PE on the SYD-SFO flight (no upgrade option on the return flight, wrong booking class). Do they still op-up much on these flights?
While in the US I have a 'side trip' with AA in Y SFO-ORD-FRA returning FRA-DFW-SFO a week later. I know I can't upgrade using QFF points on these flights but does AA do upgrades for $$'s, either at check-in or online?
Do QFF members with some status (albeit low in my case - PS & QP) get offered up-ops by AA? I have had some joy with BA where I purchased an upgrade to PE then was given an op-up to J (in July, travelling SFO-LHR).
I realise the B767 and B777 I will be on for ORD-FRA and FRA-DFW don't have PE so these would be upgrade purchases to J. Finally, any idea how much an upgrade like that might cost? The BA upgrade to PE was $US300 which I was happy to pay.
cheers

Welcome to AFF :D

You may be able to upgrade your AA flight using AAdvantage Miles and co-pay.

If successful, it would be 25K AAdvantage miles and USD350 each way for SFO-ORD-FRA and FRA-DFW-SFO.
