Purchasing Starpoints and transferring questions

Hello AFF members,

I am planning to purchase Starpoints in the current promo.
I have set up an account for each family member (4 in total excluding me)
My parents have received the 35% promo. (Brothers got 30% promo)
Can i use the same credit card to purchase points from my parents' and maybe my brothers' accounts ?
I intend to transfer all the points into my own account later on.

I don't think the credit card used to purchase the points will be an issue.

Yes. The promo just depends on the member number you use. Each member has a 50K limit on points purchased or gifted in total. Card used is not relevant.

All transferees must have had the same address, their addresses not to have been changed for at least 30 days and not be a PO box.

Earlier in the year, there were some travel hacking sites who said that, there might be some restrictions when it comes to pooling Starpoints from various family accounts into one main account. Has anyone had problems with pooling Starpoints?

None at all. I was a bit cheeky and put my parents home address as mine so I could use their accounts (and some sibblings accounts) earlier this year to purchase a swagger of points during an earlier promotion. All up five lots of 30k were purchased and all transferred to my account for a total of 150k Starpoints. All redeemed for a nice J itinerary for the other half and I via Asia to Honolulu for my bro's wedding next year. Happy days

Does anyone have experience with what to do if Amex to SPG takes longer than usual. I transferred the points on the 15th and still haven't shown. Its always taken less than 48hrs previously! Amex say they've been sent and SPG just say to keep waiting...
