Some public transport trips are more expensive in Adelaide than anywhere else

Some South Australians pay more for their bus, train and tram trips in Adelaide than the equivalent journey elsewhere in Australia.

Would be resolved if SA didn't charge peak fares on Saturday; must be the only state to do so (much to my chagrin as I usually fly in on a Saturday)

Days somewhat matter given Sydney (+ Newcastle and Wollongong) counts Fri-Sun as weekend which means the whole day is off-peak, with lower daily caps as well.

Public transport to WSI (train to Merrylands then free 1/2 hourly feeder bus to airport) from my home will cost $5.50 peak and $3.85 off peak. But could take 2 hours depending how long I need to wait for the feeder bus...could fly Syd-Mel quicker!

An Uber could take 80 mins depending on traffic and cost $130-160!
