So if you catch PT at 10:30 on a Wednesday evening, it's peak? Yikes.
Gotta get the money to pay for the evening security guards on the tram from somewhere ...
Yes.
But, there is a but, if you notice, a lot of people do not pay fares, ie, do not tap their cards, or pretend to, or fumble with their phones, and all the malarkey that goes along with the mime, most drivers dont care, they just tap a few button onto the system, and they drive on.
Hoest people are about 65% of the daily rides, 15% pensioners, and the rest are free riders.
You will never see the "Customer Service Officer" doing ticket checks on buses at nights.
But also, on a lot of routes going into city, lots of routes would have stopped by then, or go half an hourly.
Not good.
From the city going out into the suburbs, timings are quite good.
Usually, say by 7pm, you will see a lot of buses go NOT IN SERVICE/SPECIAL, ie, returning to depot.
The circle line, (300) also stops by then, so if you want to go/have to go a cross suburbs, you have to get one into the city, and then out again.

Trams and trains have security, buses, you are on your own mate (!).

Well, even if you did walk to Breadalbane, you would have to find the unmarked bus stop, and then you would have to hope that the bus (if it came at all) actually would stop for you.
It's Northern Tassie! Best not to try it.
I think its in front of that funeral place, or is it the crematorium, or columbarium, on the Hobart Rd, next to the highway, just past the roundabout.
You could wear a high vis jacket (grin)...
Ah, its a School Bus Stop...
Google maps seem to show there is a sign for the bus stop, but yeair, I wouldnt dare try it, just like trying to walk around Newcastle Airport, on to the highway to walk to Maccas, ... dangerous as, no walk way at all around there.
Or like trying to walk from Tullamarine Airport to Gladstone Pk.
