Priority Privilege Membership Renewal Promises!!!!

I was saying I have never had an issue and book up to 60 nights a year, I used a BOGO last week in Townsville, and most hotels usually have a monthly offer that means you never use the 10 % of best flex. As a hint, try booking online and clicking the newsletter offer box, often they have specials that are not advertised. As for the dinng benefits, public hols are often a blacklist, on the flip side HI Melbourne had a special off for 50% minimum four diners, I was able to use that for an AFF lunch where 20 odd members benefited.

Good luck to you Markis. I haven't had the same luck. I've worked all the five options on the PP website, including the "monthly" newsletter. Please don't think I haven't. And after no luck there, I made the logical phone call, and they just tell me the same thing. The fact remains. I have not been able to use any of the benefits of what the program offers so far this year.

But thanks for the advice.

Telemarketing lies aside I am intrigued by how you are unable to use a voucher, having never had the issue myself, using it 60 nights a year?

I've never had an issue either!
I have been a member since the program's inception and every year I receive excellent value with some exceptional stays for a bargain price.

The marketing annoys me though - my membership year ends on 31 July and I have already received 6 reminders . This happens every year and I ignore every email until I receive a phone call at the last minute ;).

And a most enjoyable lunch it was too :D.

Ditto here, this year I intend to tape the phone conversation, due around the end of August.

Sometimes they forget to send the promised 'extra' wine or brekky vouchers and you need to call and remind them to send, which they did do.

Ok for some reason I thought they were based in NZ.

If I don't know the number of whomever is calling me I normally let it ring out to voicemail ....

I think last year they rang me about six times before I spoke to them ......

With VOIP it does not matter where they are based, it had an 02 68 prefix.

True, I made that assumption based on the accent (and I should know lol)

On another matter made a booking for 4 nights HK HI express Soho for the HK sevens in late March 2014, up for 7,400 points (earned) which I thought was rather high.

...and then there are times when they don't send the promised vouchers, and you call and they tell you their records say they have sent them....

Good program, but run and marketed terribly.

They wanted me to sign a statutory declaration when I complained about a voucher not turning up. Maybe I should have asked them to sign one to say they sent it ;)

I had them call me at work this week on my mobile.......his name was George and said he was the Program Manager in charge and likes to talk to VIP customers direct........blah blah offered VIP rates and thrown in a couple of extra certificates. I told him that my husbands membership had expired but I still had current with certificates still to use......he started screaming at me for wasting his time for the last 10 minutes.....I told him he never shut up to give me a chance to say "go away", so I hung up!

Then my mobile rings yesterday and it was George again! I just hung up........!!!

My renewal is later this year and I still remember the BS phone call. If anyone knows how to screw them please let me know for my September harassment revenge.

PP's telephone marketing seems to be the worst thing about the program. Why, oh why, don't they realise this?

My phone gave me a number (starts with 02 9475).

I received a phone call from them on Tuesday. I mulled it over as I don't travel around Oz that much, but at the same time I intend to do a little travel to QLD and WA this year and it could come in handy. But what really was the defining criteria for me to purchase was that I get 10% off flex + advance purchase hotel rates worldwide (and 25% off Oceania IHG hotels if I recall correctly). However, I haven't actually managed to find out if this is true... The oceania discount seems to be false already though. I don't know about the intl discount though. My pack hasn't arrived yet so I can't trawl through it. Can anyone confirm what I should expect? I found the website is vague. From what I gather the Intl stuff was BS though :(

If that is the case I might call to get a refund.

Oceania is correct. The card gives you discounts in Australia, nz , Fiji and maybe some others.

Worldwide... Nope they are full of bulldust AFAIK.

Can someone please report these clowns to fair trading or similar?

25% for oceania (all the time) or is that only with the certificates? They told me any time until membership expiry, but from looking on their website it seems that was mistold.

And if there is no benefit for international hotels... guess I am calling them next day they are open!
