Also there is one restaurant that accepts PP landside at Sydney Int Airport. Certainly cant show your boarding pass there.

Mach2 at SYD Int didnt check BP last time i was therr

I wonder what would happen if you said I haven't checked in yet, I'm going to do it in the lounge?

Will do this when i pass through T3 next month to see what they say .

My recent experience flying out at T3 SYD Domestic using PP at Bar Roma and Wok on Air . Both of them checked my BP before let me order .
I concur with Billt

Breakfast twice in the last month at Bar Roma and asked to produce my BP both times.
Did they record the BP details, or just look?

Mach2 didn't check BP yesterday as usual.

Bar Roma asked for BP yesterday. I shown them Qantas Card and told them I can tap this card at gate as BP. They still refuse to serve me a dinner and I was told PP ask them to check BP.

That's a pretty valid issue. Might be worth raising that with PP and ask them how it works in that scenario? Purely using your card is valid way of boarding Qantas flights.

Maybe this question has been answered before, if so, apology. I understand that there are 3 PP restaurants (1 landside and 2 airside) at SYD international terminal 1. Can I use my PP card (no restriction as it comes with Amex Plat charge card) at all 3 on the same day? Thanks!

Yes you can. You can also bring a guest for each of them too

Do you have to be flying Rex to enter lounge?

Priority Pass now gets you into Sydney Airport's T2 Rex Lounge - Australian Business Traveller

Situated past security screening, the lounge welcomes Priority Pass passengers travelling from Sydney with any airline – including not only Regional Express, but also Virgin Australia, Jetstar, Fly Corporate and FlyPelican, which all fly from Terminal 2 at Sydney Airport.

Passengers departing on Qantas and QantasLink flights from Terminal 3 could also choose to visit this lounge in T2 as these terminals are a short walk apart, although this approach would require two rounds of security screening as Terminals 2 and 3 aren’t linked airside: so allow extra time.

Couple of weeks ago I arrived in Sydney on a Thursday before flying out on the Friday. Staying overnight at the Rydges I headed to the food court in T1 for dinner. I had an online boarding pass for the next day as well as my arriving boarding pass, all ready for a hassle in getting my free dinner. Turned out both Chicken Confidential and Mach 2 (the two land side options) didn't even want to see a boarding pass. Dinner at Chicken Confidential with a beer followed by another beer at Mach 2.

Also landed up using the PP card at the steakhouse in terminal 8 at JFK. Again, no request for a boarding pass, but being air-side in the US, the assumption is you must have one. Well worth a visit there and much better than the food in the AA F lounge.

Daver6 I didnt know Chicken Confidential was on the SYD PP list, thanks for the heads up! Is it good? Wonder if it is new or I just havent been paying attention...

I thought it was pretty decent for fast food and would eat there again (out of my own pocket if need be). I randomly picked a beef burger, fries, chicken nuggets and a beer. Came to $35.90! That was lucky.

No idea how new or otherwise it is. I just used the PP app to check my options and went for it.
