At hotels with a lounge, you can check-in at the lounge. I was directed to the lounge for check-in at the CP in Kuala Lumpur and at the IC in Miami recently.chrisb said:How does Priority Club Priority Check-In work? I've just ticked over to Gold status and I've found myself in some stupidly long queues when checking in the last couple of times.

Shano said:No priority check-in at Rooty Hill.... although you never need to queue to check-in anyway.
The rooms on the executive floor are OK - have recently been renovated and getting closer to what you would expect of a HI. The standard rooms are only average.kpc said:What is Rooty Hill like?? Excellent :!:

i paid for a room on the executive floor and didn't get the "upgrade", altho i was told i did and the upgrade was to a river view room on the same level.

This stay was at the HI Flinders Lane. No upgrade, though the hotel was pretty much full and everything else was great.
Which Hilton did you transfer too and how were you treated? There are some well documented problems at Hilton on the Park, though I've been offered special treatment at my next stay.

I was upgraded to the executive floor (19th) the time where i left CP after one night. The room was newish but both bathroom and A/C seems 70's.
Had another stay there the week after and was upgraded to a corner suite on the 5th floor.
No wine or chocalate (per FT thread you had quoted) for me in either occasions and had to leg it to the lounge to pick up some water as the same bottle of water in the room would set you back $6!!!!
