Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

It was so hot to insist on 14day hotel for all, including those few km's away over an imaginary line.

Now ZERO quarantine for all including covid riddled foreigners..... Amazing, really how these premiers have changed their tune!

NT no quarantine before April expiry of DRW - LHR direct flights please, PLEEEEEASE?

Wow. November 1 for international travel for MEL would be amazing. I was expecting they'd wait for e.g. December 1.

That would be nice. Depends a lot on vaccination rates etc. I'm sure the NT Chief Minister will be very keen to try and persuade QF to continue flying via DRW beyond then and encouraging DRW residents to use those flights would be a key part of that.

Announcing the introduction of Lifetime Chairman's Lounge status which will require either 25 consecutive years as a federal parliamentarian or one multi-billion dollar government handout to Qantas.
Nah, you wouldn't give them Lifetime Chairmans Lounge for a billion. Points Club... after all, it's rewarding spend on the ground remember? For $2b, Points Club Plus.

Well the triangle route airports are our main international airports, and SYD and MEL are the two main ones of those.

QLD is still probably looking like towards the end of the year is a best case scenario.

Maybe the announcement is commonwealth funded pre departure testing?

🤔🤔…..I think it will be the usual John Travolta flys the QF plane in - he,PM and Joyce aannounce were ‘open for business’ to the world … so far so good … John announces he’s becoming as Australian citizen and is then made Minister for Tourism (for a day).…
either way I’m just happy and anything will be wonderful if it means I don’t have to go into lockdown again ….

Which is the next state for no quarantine? Has to be between qld and SA right?

SA. Saw on the news tonight they are going to start accepting international student arrivals soon. QLD/WA have no plans yet.
Will the Feds let SA accept international students before significantly increasing the number of Australians they allow to fly home from overseas?
