G'day fellow enthusiasts,

I am currently sitting on Gold and on 460 points. I have one more definitely planned trip coming up in Dec and should hit Gold again without issues. Just wondering if it would be possible or too ambitious to aim for Platinum by end of March 2026?

If so, would appreciate some thoughts on routes to maximise the SC's to reach platinum?

P.S: I have been reading quite a bit as I have only recently joined this forum.

Thank you.

If you haven’t already, noting there’s no current double SC offer I’d start with this article:

And the last few pages of this thread:

It’ll be status credits you want, not points.
It’s your personal choice how badly you want that shiny platinum card and benefits and how much use you’ll get from them.

Thank you; yes started on it late last night until the phone hit my face. Very interesting :)

If we get another DSC before the end of the year then anything is possible. It will cost you time and money of course but that's just the game. Trans-tasman routes in J is the typical way to get a stack of SCs, usually can get sub $4/SC.

I've been meaning to write a post on it but in short, I "bought" my way to platinium this year. All up it was about $8k to go from 0 to 1400 SCs.

Are you travelling for work or tourism, or a mix? Have you got any forward bookings under the Double credit scheme?
