That's probably around a fair mark - and actually thinking about it - basically converts to cash the points value through credit card spend (1c per $).

And $1000 is not insignificant.

But I don't think there's an conscience issue with $1000 being 'too low' - it's justified by several different methods.

That's good advice you wouldn't want his/her account suspended or closed for selling miles.
