Points Plus Pay - Travel Insurance

I want to use my points (4,500) to pay for my international travel insurance ($162). I probably have no where near enough, but I can’t find any info on how many points I’d actually need.

According to the QF's site the option to add travel insurance with points and pay will come up at the booking stage. QF generally values points at around .007c each... so I suspect your 4500 points will be worth about $31 discount.

At that discount it may be worth shopping around as you may save more through another company buying at their full price.
