Have been trying for a couple of days to book a JQ flight using my QFF points (LST/SYD, where there are very few QF options). All looks good until the QF web site transfers me to the JQ site, at which point I cannot complete the booking - the Web page just keeps re-loading and won't let me continue.
JQ agent (of course) is of no help - don't think they can really do anything other than following the standard booking processes; I generally end up with higher blood pressure after using JQ's chat facility
Spoke to a very sympathetic QFF (Gold desk) agent who replicated the problem, and after about half an hour she asked a colleague, who said "that hasn't been working since November". She said there's no way of booking JQ flights using "points plus pay" and had no target resolution date.
Needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated as a) I've spent hours trying to book something that can't be done, thinking it was a temporary system glitch and b) QF's web site is promoting a program benefit ("Book any available seat on a flight on Qantas and Jetstar using your Qantas Point") that cannot be fulfilled (https://www.qantaspoints.com/use-points/flights).
Anyone found a work-around or experienced this? I am thinking I'll escalate to Fair Trading (misleading / deceptive conduct) but probably won't get me anywhere.
