Points + Pay Stays & Cancellation

Hi

In regards to a points + pay stay are both points deducted and dollar amount charged at time of booking?

Also what happens if I cancel the stay (inside the cancellation window of course) are both the points & dollar component refunded and is this done automatically if I cancel online?

Points are deducted at booking time.

$$$ are paid as part of a normal folio payment on stay completion.

If canceled within cancelation conditions then points are refunded (seemingly) immediately.
