I made changes to an award booking around 6 weeks ago - QR and BA. I know that QR tickets need to be issued straight away so I stressed that point to the operator. Luckily I received a ticket 30 minutes later. The flights are still listed as confirmed on both my QF and QR accounts, I have chosen seats and I have an e-ticket. All taxes have been paid but the adjustment of points by Qantas hasn't happened - I owe close to 100k points. I don't fly until next year. Do you think they'll eventually get to it, should I call them to adjust or has someone at Qantas missed a step in the process to my benefit?

thanks!

I would call and explain.
Worst thing is that the partner airline drops your booking, ie you turn up at airport to find they cant find you, or you cant do OLCI at the partner airline's website.
I have not done it but it says on here to try a booking check to try a PNR check with RJ website.
Yes, I know you are not flying RJ, but you need to see if an airline in OW has your booking, apart from QF.
Edit: see similar post in parts below on this website.
Scary!

Agree If you have the ticket and if on line the booking is not showing as 'processing' the extra points you owe might slip through.

Welcome to the new enhanced QF points program.

sadly mistakes happen like triple status credits and failure to deduct points

make no mistake QF expires dormant FF Points accounts (my Dad had 18,000 snatched) and keeps no show tic $ (in a good year over $2 million) and will keep unused credits when they expire at 31 December 2023... and did I mention non-refundable Red-E deals $99 a pop and $99 change Fees

so you passed go. And collected a free seat. Just like the new enhanced expanded staff travel cheaper and more hangers-oners I wouldn’t feel sorry for the big corporation. However, the likelihood it will be audited and addressed is a bit like a ticket inspector on the train. Rare

Have you loaded your trip in the CheckMyTrip App and checked that each single leg actually has an eTicket number?

I have a similar situation where I changed a QF flight and got charged the points, but the $40 fee didn’t hit my credit card.

I can see a “Total Amount Payable” on my eticket PDF also.

I got the eticket in my email and I can see an eticket number if I look at the booking on another oneworld alliance airline (Royal Jordanian), but the CheckMyTrip app doesn’t show an eticket number.

Is that something I should be worried about given the above advice?

Yes - it means that with very high likelihood your new eTicket has not been issued.

Have a closer look at your eTicket that you received. Does it have a date issued post the changes? Does it reflect the changes you asked for? Does the eTicket number differ from the original eTicket number?

Yes to all of those things. The date is later than when I requested the changes, the changes are there on the eticket and the eticket number is indeed different.

It just says total amount payable: -$48.92 at the bottom though.

ok - I would call them then to finalise this deal. You are peobably on the queue to be processed but just for your own ease of
mind. There was some discussion in another thread in payment processing delays for manual tickets.

When you added your trip in CheckMyTrip, did you use the full name as per eTicket. If not, then no eTicket number will show up.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

This is what appears. I did use my name on CMT but didn't include my middle name, I just removed and re-added it and now the passenger information all shows up with the eTicket. I guess that's a really good sign?

Sounds like you're fine then. Not sure why the refund doesn't show up but ah well.

I've checked and its there. Confirmed and all with ticket numbers. I think I'll leave it as is. I've paid the taxes. If they audit at any point, I have the points in my account for them to deduct.
