I recently took a return flight paid for by a Cth govt department. I was aware that I would only get status credits for the flight and that all the FF points would go to the govt.

However as QF gold, I would have earned both base points and status points for the flight.

Does anyone know whether the govt gets the status points or does it just get the base points?

My understanding is that some AU Government fares are non-point earning on the QF scheme but are eligable for status credits. It would seem that you were booked on a fare which was non point earning restricted ( or points credited in error )

I did a few flights for the WA government late last year. Got both points and status credits :D

My understanding is you get neither the base points or the 50% bonus for being gold.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

And the government does not get the points either (as the OP was suggesting). The non-earning fares are non0-earning for both the flyer and the dept making the booking.
