Good to see some decent hotels in Australia, its high season for both Cairns and Darwin, with Darwin at least $250 a night, so PB are good value if there is availability.

There does not appear to be any availability during Oz Fest!

Everyone long booked out Darwin for OzFest. Shame it won't be as cheap as the Queenstown Do...

NB, There is also availability over Queens Birthday long weekend at Cairns and Darwin...

Ok, so now I have a 5,000 point booking for Sunday night, but how do I go back and amended my 3 day flexible booking.

Can you just drop the final day off on a entertainment rate booking.

I would try ringing the hotel direct. I rang the CP in Darwin last week to transfer a booking and they were very helpful.

Your only real hope is charity from the hotel - call them and ask to change the three nights to just the first two nights.

Changing online, effectively the three night "flexible" booking would be replaced with a new two night booking created - at current prevailing rates.

This would almost certainly now cost more for than 2 nights than your original 3 night booking.

It's for this reason that I normally make three one night bookings. ;)

Bah, you lot are sneaky.

Thanks Bill for your suggestion

The HI Esplande have changed my booking from what I originally booked, to a substantially higher rate, and I didn't make any changes. If it's a fight they want.....

You can change the booking online although it will be at the new rates, if its best flex there is no early departure charge so I would leave it and checkout early!

That's good to know.

However, BB did mention "entertainment rate booking", so I am not sure if that still applies.

Yes it still applies, the only rates not changeable online are prepaid and rewards nights! Just click on edit dates/rooms button when viewing the res!

Well, that's a win. I'm in Beijing and the list includes two places i was planning on visting anyway over the next few weeks: QINHUANGDAO and TIANJIN RIVERSIDE!

Finally some decent pointsbreaks.

Don't know how I can fit Manila, Kuala Lumpur and Chiang Mai in one trip when I only have 12 days in Thailand.

And Cairns in July could be a good time to visit. Now only to find some cheap airfares which is not going to be easy.

My Fr/Sa/Su reservations are at the CP (Sold out Saturday night).

I had a C&P booking for Th at the HI(Esp.) but no go on PB's.

I was pretty chuffed as I already had four nights booked in Cairns for the Queens Birthday long weekend. Unfortunately I had one prepaid, but it saves me some money for the other nights (originally I only had 3 nights, so went for a BOGO and a prepaid, but then was able to expand my trip another night).

I've also adjusted my July USA trip to go to Las Vegas to take advantage of the HIX there instead of San Fransisco where it seemed a bit expensive (I also got to use PointBreaks for a HI in Seattle even if it is a bit out of the way, 4 nights there will save a good chunk of cash too).

My DFW-ORD-SEA Instant Upgrade seems to have worked via the US site, now to pull off a SEA-LAX-LAS also on the US site and I'll end up with Qantas Plat when I return to Aus (seems to be pricing the same as SEA-LAX-SFO which was my original plan). I'm pretty pleased to have 3 CNS, 4 SEA and 3 LAS nights out of this batch of PointBreaks. It probably balances the money I'm wasting on the Instant Upgrade fares in the USA. The only downer is achieving Plat with Priority Club isn't going to give me any real benefits while overseas which I'd been curious to experience (except perhaps in DFW where I spend two nights at the start of my trip - figured I'd have a bit of a poke around there since I was there anyway thanks to the $1000 Qantas DFW promotion). What was bothering me as somewhat wasteful trips have probably just dropped nearly $1000 now (even if it does mean staying in slightly more basic accommodation than originally planned).
