Platinum QFF and first class lounge access

I will fly AY from HEL to BKK and then QF onto SYD.
My calculations have me reaching platinum by the time I land in BKK. I have a 12 hour wait in BKK - price on ticket made this attractive.
Assuming my calcuation to be correct, what suggestions do the esteemed members have for gaining access to the Qantas first class lounge in BKK, given that my platinum card in still be printed.

It will all depend on when your account updates online... If it does, take a print out of it.

It is unlikely that you will be recognised, as the AY from HEL leg will need to be credited first - unless this is a stop over?

Bear in mind also that the QF lounges don't open until 1530.

It will not credit in time (99.999% will not).
So no WP for you will be the result sorry to say.
Just gives you another reason to travel ex-SYD to use the Flounge there for your next outbound trip. Seems fair an reasonable to me

With 12 hrs consider going into town or using the airport Novotel hotel for a swim, drink, afternoon delight, sleep, shower (rates are usually cheap). You'll then feel great on your flight home. Don't waste those 12 hrs sitting in an airport if this is part of your holiday or personal time - life is too short.

I've had AY flights credit next day but they usually take a couple of days to come through, sometimes after some manual intervention by QF

Ask them nicely and you may well be surprised with the answer.

By the way the First Lounge in BKK is not that special but as someone else mentioned does not open until mid afternoon.
