Isn't it somewhat stupid that all Qantas Group flights that earn points count towards the 4 ~ per membership year, but only QF coded count towards the 2700 (of 3600) SC needed for Platinum One?

You have to pay extra for JQ flights to earn QFF points/SC, why don't they count towards Platinum One?

Presumably they chose the criteria with an eye to the number of people that would meet them. Otherwise, I don't see a good reason for requiring the 900 status credits beyond the 2,700 on QF.

Even if they included JQ flights, can you imagine a P1 member who got their through mostly flying JQ... they'd never get use of their benefits :p

It goes back to JQ being 'a part of the QF group' when it suits QF and JQ being a completely separate airline when it suits QF.
