Platinum
I recently regained platinum. My question is do others use their bag tags on luggage & does it actually work better for priority on arrival? Have upcoming trip arriving LHR. I don’t need to use them to advertise my status, if works better in bags arriving when & where compared to paper luggage tag, I’m all for it. 😉

On an international flight they will attach a paper bag tag anyway, and they will add a tag for first (if it exists on the flight) or business priority anyway.
Unless things have changed the Q-tags only work for domestic flights.
I often check in at the counter anyway so they attach the visible priority tag, in case the bag is subject to manual handling.
But my bag seems to be among the first off either way.
I know other people have had different experiences.

I'm pretty sure that you can't use the bag tags internationally. They made me take them off last time

Never have been told to remove them for international.

The colour of the tag has nothing to do with priority. In theory its the electronic ID associated with the tag and then linked to your account/status. This isn't a hard link, but done on each check-in. Ie, using a bronze level tag and being gold status will (assuming QF could actually get priority bags to work) get your bag priority status.

Best use is to just attach it to your hand luggage though. It makes your manly bits so much bigger. In fact you can no longer sit in a standard economy seat and would need to book an extra legroom seat...or J
