Cobham flight 1994


Small but 4 engined

4 engined but ultra quiet

Is aerotoxic syndrome still an issue on these aircraft? Or more generally on any other aircraft?

Looks like none of the 146 were current QFLink.

That list is not up to date at all.

I think it was NJI.

Interesting ABC TV news tonight reported that all passengers were fine. No big deal at all, certainly no terror. Forget the exact words.

Was often called "The Muffler" because it was noisier inside the aircraft than outside, and of course the reference to fumes was an interesting anecdote

Originally designed to operate to/from airports like London City (LCY) that had specific noise restrictions and climb performance requirements.

Other nicknames included "Smurfjet", "Toxic Terror" & "Fisher Price Starlifter".

Haha I miss those flights I took to barrow island. Its really comfortable aircraft. However it always smelt like aviation gas.
