There are reports a plane has caught fire after taking off from Perth Domestic Airport.
Radio 6PR reported the left engine caught fire not long after take off.
A number of witnesses called 6PR saying they saw flames coming from the plane.
A caller has since reported the plane has returned to the ground and it was "well under control

Vincent, Skyforce and AAE all operate them locally in addition to Cobham, who developed a gravel kit for them.

Interesting to contrast various news agencies approach to this:

A sensible comment from a passenger talking to the ABC
And this from fairfax using talkback radio as their primary source

Was Cobham's flight flying as Qantaslink today?

An investigation is underway after a plane caught fire just after it took off from Perth Airport this morning.
About 90 fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) workers heading to Barrow Island were on board the Cobham Aviation aircraft.
The plane managed to turn around and land safely. It has now been moved inside a hangar for inspection.

Cobham Aviation Services said the four-engine BAE 146 jet returned to Perth Airport at 10:53am (AWST).
It said the aircraft was climbing after take-off when the fire occurred in engine number two on the inner port side of the plane.
"When the fire was detected, the engine was shut down and the fire extinguished," a statement from Cobham read.
It added there were no injuries among the 92 passengers, two pilots and three cabin crew.

No Cobham BAE146 aircraft operate as QFlink flights. Only 717 operate as QFlink.

Don't be too harsh on them... at least they've got the correct engine.
