Wondering if a room should exist for travel photography / videos etc and questions about this?

Was thinking a subsection under "Travel Insider tips" or similar.

Had a question but couldn't find a natural "fit" so put it in playground (where it may/may not be seen), but there seems to be a number of photo enthusiasts etc here plus we all love great photos.

I thought WSH would be computers.

if you read the "blurb" it's more travel related whereas camera is more general.

I agree, there is no doubt much knoledge that can be shared re cameras and photography rather than putting it my questions.

Docjames' suggestion for placement is probably best, what with WSH being another sub-forum there

I have created a new forum AFF Member Tips (non travel) in the Other Resources section. Lets monitor and see the type of posts in this forum before deciding on the specific sub-forums - but I would imagine a Photography sub-forum would be a good candidate. Thanks for the suggestion.

Some folks may find writing TR time consuming so a "Share your travel photo" thread could be quite cool.

I usually just whack mine up on Facebook rather than going through and posting them here or doing trip reports...

I probably should do more here... Sounds like a good idea though, swapping tips and inspiring people to go the places we have been...

Yeah I put most of my photos on FB too but thought its good to just have a "travel photo" thread where people can post pictures here and there and others could do so too.

Thats a great idea and certainly can do. But I'm just wondering if initially you simply post your "Travel Photo" in the Trip Report forum with a one liner description. Once we have a critical mass of Travel Photos we can start a new forum specifically for Travel Photos.

Not everyone uses fb and IMO its actually detrimental to this site in some respects (but that's a different topic and such discussions are usually frowned upon).
