Philippine Airlines Delays/Cancellations

Sunday 7th of July sees PR211 diverting to MEL (A333 RP-C8786). The aircraft is currently airborne, with suggested arrival at 12 04. The return leg to MNL as PR212 has a revised departure at 12 45, although I'd dare to say the turnaround will be longer.

For clarity, it arrived MEL earlier and is presently en route to SYD. It's a certainty that departure from SYD to MNL won't be at 1245 hours!

No flies on Silvia as she was 100 per cent correct. PR 212 departed SYD at 1324 hours, taking off at 1343. Expected MNL arrival is 2000 tonight, 190 minutes late.

PR212, the Friday 2 August 1030 hours SYD - MNL (A333 RP-C8786) departed at 1052 but arrival is estimated as 1746, 56 late.

With delays caused by most flights restricted to using the east-west runway in SYD due to winds, PR212 on Saturday 10 August 2019 (A333 RP-C8789), the 1030 hours SYD - MNL took off at 1225 with estimated arrival to be 49 late at 1839 hours.

Monday 12th of August finds PR213 MNL-SYD cancelled. Consequently, tomorrow's PR214 SYD-MNL 6 00 hours service is also cancelled.

Strangely, PR213 (A333 RP-C8789) took off from MNL at 0115 on Tuesday 12 August and is arriving in SYD at 1034 hours, 784 minutes late.

Friday 23 August 2019 saw PR207, the 1640 hours MNL down to MEL not take off until 1822, with Saturday 24 arrival 130 minutes behind schedule at 0610. A333 Rp-C8789 formed PR208, the 0440 hours back to MNL, taking off at 0707, arriving MNL at 1321 hours, 151 minutes late.

Friday 30 August has seen PR212, the 1030 hours nicely timed SYD - MNL taking off at 1124 so expected arrival for A333 RP-C8789 is 1724, 34 minutes tardy.

PR207/PR208 into and out of MEL are often early, especially 'the 207,' but on Wednesday 27 November, PR207, the afternoon 1645 hours MNL down to MEL was not in the sky until 1824 hours. MEL arrival on Thursday 28 was 0452, 42 late. PR208, the 0555 hours, then took off in MEL at 0705 with mooted MNL arrival 1159, 54 late. Aircraft is RP-C8783.

A333 RP-C8781 on PR207, the Wednesday 8 January 1645 hours MNL down to MEL arrived on Thursday 9 at 0356 hours, 14 early but the scheduled 0555 hours return working, PR208 did not become airborne until 0755 hours, arriving MNL at 1310, 125 minutes behind schedule.

On Sunday 12 January, PR207 managed to push back in MNL at 1647 hours before the airport was closed to all arrivals from 1822 and departures from 1900 hours due to the significant Taal Volcano actvity that intensified overnight.

It arrived MEL on Monday 13 ar 0401 hours, nine minutes early. The returning PR208, the 0555 hours, did not depart MEL until 1551 this afternoon with MNL arrival expected at 2037 hours, 572 minutes later than the timetabled 1105 hours.

PR213, which usually departs at about 1100 hours for SYD on a Monday has been altered to depart MNL at 1830, so this will mean an 0600 or so SYD arrival on Tuesday 14, delaying the 0600 hours PR214 back to MNL.

UPDATE: PR213 did not deport until 2007 so SYD Tuesday 14 arrival will be at about 0700 to 0730, further delaying the morning PR214.

In further for Monday 13 January, PR207, the 1645 hours afternoon MNL down to MEL is predicted to depart at 1940 tonight, a pretty typical delay given the Taal Volcano situation, arriving MEL on Tuesday 14 at 0705, 175 minutes late. In turn this will delay the scheduled 0555 hours PR208 back to MNL to about an 0830 hours pushback if all goes well and there's a departure slot available at such a peak hour.

Continuing with Monday 13 January, PR207 departed MNL at 2030 hours, 225 minutes late with MEL Tuesday 14 arrival likely at 0745, 215 late. PR208, the 0555 hours should be able to push back at about 0900.

PR213 down to SYD is suggested as a Tuesday arrival at 0711 hours, delaying PR214, the 0600 hours SYD to MNL to around 0830 in departure. This A333 usually overnights in SYD.

PR214 on Monday 13 arrived MNL at 2054, around 10 hours late.

On Tuesday 14 January, PR214 (A333 RP--C8784) took off from SYD at 0834 hours, so MNL arrival should be 1310, 125 minutes tardy.

PR208, the 0555 hours MEL to MNL had not departed by 1000 despite the inbound PR207 arriving at about 0750.

UPDATE: PR208 (A333 RP-C8780) departed MEL at 1030 hours, 275 late so MNL arrival should be at around 1545 hours, 280 behind schedule.

A321 RP-C9933 on PR221, the 235 hours redeye on Monday 13 from MNL down to BNE was airborne at 9235 hours on Tuesday 14 so expected arrival is 1258 hours, 198 late, delaying the return PR222.

PR209, the Thursday 16 January 2020 scheduled 2110 hours MNL down to MEL redeye took off at 2243 with RP-C8784. Friday 17 arrival at gate should be about 0937 hours, 67 late, delaying te 1015 hours returning PR210.

On Sunday 26 January, A333 RP-C8783 arrived MNL 114 minutes late at 1749 hours on PR1854 ex CEB. In what may be due to another failed A333, it then formed PR207, the scheduled 1645 hours MNL - MEL, taking off at 1953 and arriving MEL at 0633, 143 late. PR208 is what it's undertaking now, with this timetabled 0555 hours back to MNL becoming airborne at 0809 hours. Expected arrival is 1244 hours, 99 minutes tardy.

FR24 can give a misleading impression as today it says PR208 was scheduled to depart MEL at 0700, and hence it underestimates the arrival delay. '0700' is some internal airline amended time but passengers' PNRs would show 0555.

On Saturday 1 February, PR208 (0555 hours early morning MEL up to MNL, A333 RP-C8783) was not in the sky until 0826. Predicted at gate arrival is 1303 hours, 118 minutes tardy.

The Saturday 18 April 2020 overnight PR209 arrived MEL uneventfully at 0639, nine minutes late with unrefurbished - high capacity with no at seat entertainment - A333 RP-C8760. However repatriation flight PR210 - naturally available to non-Australian passport holders only - is the 0800 hours delayed until at least 1015 in its pushback.
