PR732 MNL-BKK

No impact or seat changes to the J cabin.

This chap ended up moving across to the middle row and lying down and having a kip
Only 11 J Pax which is bugger all on the B77W

Fairly uneventful flight. I basically ate, drank and watched a movie that finished as we landed

Appetizer was decent

Mains was tasty, tender if maybe just a tad dry

Safely in BKK around an hour late. Didn't use the new e-Gates as I have a 6-month multi-entry visa which needs to be stamped. I was through the J priority line in 5 minutes
albeit this was at about midnight.

Someone waiting for me at Gate 4 to grab the shuttle across to the Hyatt Regency Suvarnabhumi. Have stayed there many times over the years when it was a Novotel and this may have been my 4th stay as a Hyatt. If I land at a decent hour, I'm more likely these days to get a Grab and stay at Divalux Resort & Spa in Lat Krabang which is excellent value for money.

Hyatt Entrance

View from our room

All in all, I'd probably rate PR 6.5/10
Service was friendly and reasonably efficient but at times not proactive.
MNL airport looks every bit of its 45 years since opening and the lounge was very average.
Would I do the BNE-MNL-BKK again
probably while I've still got points to burn and it arrives and departs from the same terminal.
The last few trips I've been flying DeathStar JQ65 in StarClass which I can handle, being a day flight and would then normally look for a full J carrier to get me home using points. I was originally doing the return flight BKK-MNL-BNE but had reason to extend my visit and could not for the life of me get a points flight back using QFF, CX Asia Miles of Avios so had to pay for JQ66
will see if I can get enough champagne into me in the AF Lounge to help sleep. Hope some of the info will help others.
Cheers CM
