Just had an odd one.

Last night, I was trying to request an upgrade for an upcoming domestic flight, but of course the App couldn't handle that, telling me 'No PNR in the URL'.

Woke up this morning to an e-mail, sent about an hour later for me to call the FF service centre about an Award request I had made. Join the dots, right?

No. The 'request' the agent found when I gave him the reference number in the e-mail was for an Award flight to be released, BNE-SIN in August, request made 2nd April. Now, my memory is getting worse, but I'm certain I didn't make that request 2 days ago, especially since, on the day in question, I am on a tour in the Stans.

The agent of course checked if anyone else has access to my account - answer is no.

I will change my PW, but I don't think it was a hack, as why would you request a flight to be released, rather than something more immediately valuable?

No biggie, just very odd. Anyone else had this happen?

Most likely some other WP has requested over the phone, and someone has transposed digits in the FF number somewhere along the line. Expect a thread soon about "QF never responded to my reward release request".
