Has anyone had any recent problems booking flights on AA metal through QFF?
I've looked at a few different city pairs now, where there are multiple award flights available on the AA website but when I ring QFF to book (ie make changes to an ward ticket), the agent cannot see availability. This is despite asking to "search in a different window".
In the past I have not had any problem in this situation.
Yes, I am aware that the availability that a carrier's own program can see may be different to that of its partners, but this is just odd.

Any thoughts/theories on the matter? I know that AA have tightened up on releasing awards in more recent times.

QF only get AA Saver awards, so very little availability especially in the US peak seasons

Can you replicate the availability using another program's search tool (eg. BA)?

It may well be that AA is restricting award availability to QF.

That's a new one on me, but generally if expert flyer shows AA availability then it can be booked using QFF.
