Pet airport lounge hates

If QF can ban thongs and shorts, they should be able to request no devises without headphones
Sometimes it can be inadvertent. I have a new set of wireless AirPods and was thinking that the sound was low. I soon realised that I hadn’t connected them to my iPad and was regaling nearby people with my video. Won’t happen again.

I once did similar on a domestic flight, had my headphones plugged into the microphone jack, couldn't work out why the sound was so low for about 30-40min! The poor people next to me must have thought I was a right cough.

In addition to the noise issues mentioned I loathe feet on the coffee tables. I cannot believe people think it is ok to put their feet where food & drinks belong .

Agree with @Fifa. Not a fan of feet on tables.

Not a fan of my child having a whinge in the CX Wing F when the internet connected on her device, but she couldn't get on YouTube. Stern words over at the side, as we weren't in a seating area by ourselves.

Oh, there's another one - two people taking up space for four people by sitting at the outside edge of that space.

Two people taking up the whole area of a space meant for four plus people.

actually why cant we start a petition to enforce a ban on video / facetime over loudspeaker?

if enough people complian surely qf would think about it...
I've twice seen staff in EK lounges last year politely ask guests to use headphones or step outside the lounge for video calls / facetime. Very respectfully done. If staff see and are trained to do this saves everyone a lot of angst.

OMG, before I got to the word 'hates' in the title I thought this thread was about an airport lounge for pets. I thought it was likely to be something from the US. Seriously. :p

The thing I hate most is obviously sick people using (and misusing) food and drink stations. I get why sick/contagious people sometimes think they have no choice but to travel, but please minimise your 'footprint' on the rest of us. Particularly bad when parents allow or even send sick kids to go get food. They'll often touch everything and put things back.

I usually just avoid but on a couple of occasions when someone sneezes onto an area of food and staff have seen I have suggested they remove the food and clean the area. Such a waste but both times it has been done. One was in the Brisbane QP a few years back. Another was in a hotel that I can't recall.

Ha! At the risk of sending this thread off-topic, would you ban dogs/animals (other than guide dogs, of course) from airport lounges?

Some countries actually allow this, including the one you mentioned.

No, not at all.:p I read the title as Pet lounge and missed the word 'hates'.

Bringing it back on topic, there was a woman in the QC Mel yesterday who pawed the bread with her bare hands before picking up a couple of slices. As there was no one around, I judiciously moved the ones she'd rifled and put them on another plate out of the way. Hate that. Use the tongs! Drives me nuts.

I also misread the title and thought WTF.

I cannot stop at one, I dislike, those that are
  • noisy,
  • self entitled, and
  • that believe their carryon luggage is deserving of a seat.

I avoid too. Usually because I’m gagging when people sneeze or cough over food. :(
