Hi Guys,

I was amused to find that as of the 29th May, flight times were 10 to 15 mins less than on the 28th May. Now what could cause this?

End of runway repairs at Perth.
Change in wind speeds
Qantas has more money so can afford to burn more fuel and get there faster.
Qantas has found a way to get around the laws of physics
Their previous timetabling was wrong.
Less WP's flying QF now due to the enhancements, so less mass, equals faster flight speed.

Due to wind for this part of the year, QF always adjust east coast-Perth times over Winter. Will go back to normal from about November.

You will notice BNE-PER has got longer so the laws of physics remain intact.

You could equally look at the reverse where they are flying slower
