I checked the website. Lodged 29 June at the local suburban post office.Applied to renew my passport today.
Next flight 12 August. Now we'll see how long it takes.
That seems rather long these days @HvrWell a month after I lodged my passport application it has been approved and has been sent to be printed.
My last two have come without the cover.Delivered today. My photo is scary. I look like I need a holiday after a long stretch in jail!
And no plastic cover. How cheap is that?
And recs on where to buy a good one. Currently keeping mine in an old SQ amenity kit bagMy last two have come without the cover.
I've used a Bellroy passport wallet for the past 15 years, and it does the job. The mini-pen is very handyAnd recs on where to buy a good one. Currently keeping mine in an old SQ amenity kit bag

I use the cover from an old passport, then store them all in a QF amenity kit. I also have a Kiki K passport wallet which I love, but it doesn't fit the 7 passports we carry. And recs on where to buy a good one. Currently keeping mine in an old SQ amenity kit bag
Yes - mine was a similar story, though being in WA will always add a day or two, but I received an email yesterday stating it would be here in the next few days.Applied for renewal same day as my spouse, same post office, photos taken by the same person at the same time.
Application 1 -- lodged July 21st, Received 27th, Approved & sent 28th.
Application 2 -- lodged July 21st, Received 27th, ... nothing since.
Looks like they might be auto-approving some application and randomly pushing other to a longer process?
