While that is true, the inability to contact Tiger over any issues that come up has been well documented. The problem with the report, is that while it documents the numbers of complaints about various carriers, one can't tell how many of those complaints were justified and resulted in findings against the carriers.

Even though the fares are cheap, there are certain basic consumer rights that should be provided. Anecdotal evidence on this board suggests that Jetstar has significantly lifted its game in the area since it first started, and now Tiger as the new player has some work to do.

That's very true. IMHO Jetstar have certainly lifted their game over the last year or so. However when the service drops and things go sour I have learnt to accept it as it's a budget airline.

Certainly jQ have tried to lift their game but the spend on advertising has increased to give a false comparision to other airlines of which the prices has somewhat decreased so for the non business travellers it is an open market as to which airline provides the best value for money on their trips
