We had screams on arrival into Launceston back in the 1990s from a trio of ladies who had drunk the flight dry of gin and tonics. It was a result of a very tight turn below the rim of the valley that confirmed their fears that had driven the consumption all the way from Sydney. I got a jab from Mrs Oatek for laughing - but back to the topic, no clapping. We did have a very loud communal SIGH on landing in Vienna some years ago after a very rough approach.

Only time I've ever witnessed clapping on landing was in March this year flying from Eindhoven to Skopje with Wizzair. To be fair it was one of the dodgiest planes and companies I've ever flown with.
