Paper towels enhanced from lounges?

Every domestic lounge I’ve been to recently either doesn’t have paper towels or has it just in the shower suites.

Sydney Business Lounge this morning. The attendant was in the Ladies


And removed the paper towels!
Managed to take this photo whilst she stepped out, when she came back, these disappeared too

maybe they ran out in the CL?

I've noticed that they have put the facial paper towels in the slots where the large towels used to be.

Likely because cloth towels "aren't recyclable" ......wait a moment

After the great hand towel 'enhancement' I purchased similar paper towels for MrsK so she can keep a stash in her bag. On our past few trips she has reported getting very envious looks from other ladies in the toilets in the lounges when she whips them out to dry her hands.

PER J lounge last week. Clearly people are using the tissues to dry their hands. Good thing tissues are recyclable...

No paper towels, dryers only in BNE Intl lounge on Friday 5/9 and SYD Domestic J Lounge on Monday morning 8/9.
Singapore F still had them on Sunday night.

I saw the signs about paper towels not being recyclable ... and thought that may be true, but they are certainly compostable. Hard to stop the rubbish from being contaminated with other items that aren't compostable, though.
