Paper towels enhanced from lounges?

On my most recent flights I noticed empty tissue boxes in both MEL J lounge and SYD QP. I also observed that the two hand dryers in the gents in the MEL J lounge are placed too closely together for two people to comfortably use them simultaneously unless said gents are rather good friends...

What also doesn't make sense with this setup in the J lounge is you wash your hands at the sink. Then go to the dryer by the door and then back to the sink if you want some hand moisturiser.

Remember the old days onboard in J where instead of paper towels they had a light white fabric single use cloth to dry one's hands?

At least so far no one has blamed sustainability for the demise of the hand towels.

I should have taken a photo of the sign in the PER Dom J lounge men's toilet hand washing area. I'm pretty sure it mentioned sustainability.

It's right above the Dyson hand dryers, if anyone's in the area ...

Also provided feedback to state that missing paper towels was not an enjoyable experience, got this response:

We sincerely apologise that paper towels were not available in the bathroom during your visit. We understand how frustrating and inconvenient this would have been particularly whee hand dryers don't offer the same practicality for personal care.

We want our lounges to provide a consistently comfortable and well-equipped environment, and it's clear we missed the mark on this occasion. Please know that we take your feedback seriously and will review this matter to ensure that our staff dedicate enough time to these tasks to avoid similar situations moving forward. Your experience highlights an area where we must improve, and we truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
