I have had a look at Google Ads in the past, and from what I remember they do both. Apparently you can't tell if an advert is pay per view or pay per click and they come up at random.

To the trained eye the ads become invisible. I can't recall when I last looked at one therefore I wouldn't worry about blocking them! :)

I am mostly vaguely aware of their presence, as they are recognisable enough. Every now and then one of them will catch my eye (even if it is something like Quantas), but they are few and far between. I don't think much money would be made if they were relying on click throughs to generate income.

If it is pay per view then AFF is making some money from me browsing and posting on the site.

If it is pay per click then AFF is still making money from me but not as much as pay per view.

I seem to see different ads. So far mostly boring SmilesCity and something about bus & 4wd hires in Sydney.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I know that IE7 is to have tabbed browsing, but Mozilla already has this. With IE, when a new window is opened the system loads a whole new workspace; which on my Win98SE machine takes some time. Firefox simply opens a new tab and off it goes. Not only that, but Firefox generally opens a web page faster than IE6.

The total difference with all this may be 45 seconds per web page or more. In a 30 minute session that can be a lot of time saved.

I've been using IE7 for a few months now, currently on Beta 3. The tabbed browsing interface works well and is quite fast, although I think requires WinXP.
