Ozjet to PER

It must mean that the route has become more expensive for them - the plane sitting on the ground overnight, having to put the crew up somewere etc. etc.

However, I do think they will get more support with this schedule

my understanding of the 737-200's that they operate cannot fly across the country in one go. they would be required to stop for fuel.

is this not the case anymore?

We covered this in a fair amount of detail in a previous thread. They can make it MEL-PER (1681 miles), but cannot make it SYD-PER (2041 miles).

Well I'm going to try the MEL-PER service. Seems like it will be great value. 8)

I will be doing the same, from SYD, sometime in April. :D

Well how about this!

The good people at OzJet saw my positive report here about my trip with them last month and emailed to advise that they are sending me a $100.00 gift voucher to use on my next flight in appreciation of my support!

Thanks OzJet! :D

Congratulations Yada Yada! With all the time you spend encouraging others to try them, they should have offered you a job in their marketing department. :D

Personally, I am yet to fly a sector that they fly, so haven't been able to try them yet. Hopefully that will change soon.

Congratulations! Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke. :D

When are you starting the official OzJet fan club? :p

Congratulations. The thing I have noticed about ozJet is that they seem to be:

1) Quite responsive to the market
2) Supportive of their supporters!

Thanks JohnK. I'm ready to go with the fan club. Prospective members need only take an O7 flight and they will be automatically joined up. :D

After your good reports I want to try out O7 (and I do wish them the best - competition is a good thing). But my next opportunity is ex-PER and they aren't making it easy with the changes (both start date and schedule).

Mal can be your 2IC and I am sure there are potential OzJet groupies here on AFF ready to join the fan club. :D

:D  A commission would be great! Seriously though, it was an unexpected gift and very much appreciated. And nice to know that O7 watch AFF. :D

Thanks Kiwi Flyer. Hopefully the MEL-PER flights will get underway on April 3rd as planned now and you'll be able to give them a try.

Yes, although Mal will have to drop that Deathstar logo from his avatar! :x

They have to fly to Brisbane before I'd join their fan club :D

Actually funny thing about my avatar. I was going to "borrow" the "OZ" part of their logo and tack "Mal" on the end. Couldn't get the fonts right and it didn't resize well so went for an easier target.

Have had a bit of a play around and now have a OzJetified Mal avatar...

Nice work Mal! That's a great avatar. And the slogan is: OzMal - you've been upgraded! :D

I see it has been done. :) Looks good too!

Now just to get OzJet to fly to Brisbane before he becomes your 2IC.
