If your Emerald status is in the booking, it shows on their manifest with whatever code is used code for Executive Platinum - I'd leave it at that.

EXPs have EXP on the BP. Non AA emeralds simply have "Emerald" on the BP, so the two are shown in distinctly different ways.

This be true - but a BP is NOT the manifest.

My indication is - don't show a BP with the word "EMERALD" on it when trying to get an Executive Platinum benefit.

Depends where your boarding pass is printed. My boarding pass for for an AA flight LAX-SFO shows "FF SAPPHIRE AAxx_xx_x" as an AAdvantage Platinum FF member.

Curious - printed on what stock? QF? AA? If AA, kiosk or counter? There seems to be a lot of variance especially with AA.

Printed by QF at check-in at BNE.

Interesting - all my QF-printed AA BPs don't show any FF status whatsoever. AA printed BPs correctly show EMD.

If there is one member of the travelling party OWE and 2 not, I assume the baggage allowance and free food /drink only applies to the OWE member?

Luggage applies to all on the same booking as the OWE - this is documented.

Food/Drink is not specifally a benefit for non Advantage Emeralds.

Thanks serfty. The "choice" fare from AA that's one below first was $286 and first was $460. Now to just decide if the First cabin and food/drink is worth the extra $ (x3) for a 5hr flight MCO to LAX I'm thinking it might be. I can get First on QF classic awards but none direct all routing through Dallas or somewhere else which is not ideal
