Just edited my above post to comment on Wijomas' transgressions.
Where are you off to today? The beef & chicken in the DFW QP were quite nice last night.

I'm in the C terminal AC enroute to Florida. Unfortunately my plane is boarding from gate 39 and i'm at gate 19. I think I should wander; it's a damn long walk and the skytrain doesn't go anywhere near where I need to be.

Wijomas' transgressions are too numerous to mention :)

And if you saw someone that looked like a cocoon proskyneo, that would have been one wijomas. He got busted... TWICE... trying to use his SWU's to upgrade the JFK-LHR segment, despite being told no chance (was not permitted on the group fare we had). He actually managed to make it to the wait-list board at the gate too :)
Why am I not surprised that wijomas was the one trying to pull that off! That cheeky kiwi trying his luck as usual.

It seems to be on some but not on others. Obviously some have decided my ugly mug is no good ;)

Just skimmed through the article and saw reference to the "lifetime unlimited travel pass" - no wonder airlines go broke with things like this being dreamed up!

but it was also fun to gulp down gin and tonics midair with other guys - three out of four passengers were male - who have the same passion for flying. How much fun? well, american stocked the plane with four times the liquor of a normal flight.

lol :D

Going back a few years lifetime QP membership was out of my reach! Can't imagine how tough it would have been to fork out $500,000 back in 1994 for a lifetime unlimited travel pass with AA !! Wonder how many AUD that was!

I love how with all the images on the article, everyone hoped their way across

"I think I can! I think I can! I think I can!"

We drank them dry on the ground in SEA during a 2 1/2 hour delay. They had to call to re-cater the liquor cart:)

IIRC, the last time the offered one of these, it was somewhere between $1-3 *million* dollars.

They were only very short period windows and progressively got more and more expensive. I don't believe we'll ever see that kind of deal again ($3m buys a *lot* of F travel).

I think they re-catered a couple of times. Then the station manager & a couple of others purloined an AA vehicle & headed to the local bottlo. Somehow they got the fruits of their labour back through security too!!
How much did those bottles of champagne get auctioned off for??
That was a crazy evening. And then we got to LA .....

No question about it, it was the best flight of my life. Truly amazing:)
