Touching story at a time of great loss. Sincere condolences to you and your family. As a parent of 2 wonderful children, it brought a tear to my eye.

What an amazing post, the pain of losing a child must be unbearable and I extend my condolences. You are so right, being an Australian is one of the most amazing things. Despite, the fact that obviously we don't all know each other, we are all still a family.

What a post, thanks for sharing your story and condolences to you and the rest of your family

I felt so sad at reading your post, my condolences too, but then knowing how well your were all looked after by Qantas was such a joy, when the chips are down there they are at the ready (and seen how caring they can be with own eyes during a disaster).

Thanks JohnM. I have already sent a private message to the OP, in addition to passing on feedback to the teams concerned.

What a beautiful story with a bittersweet ending.

Qantas, you really showed the Spirit of Australia. Well done.

He had a great time and this great time was only achieved by the QANTAS crew, from our Travel Agent through P1, ground staff, especially the flying crew and it was this that made this trip something very special. Thank you QANTAS.
